2012 Hip Hop seems to be starting off with a little bit of beef from the legendary rapper Common and Young Money artist Drake. I've listened to the controversial song "Sweet" by Common on his new album The Dreamer/The Believer and one thing that caught my attention was the production. Produced by No I.D the song started off with a hot sample and Common in Haiti rapping aggresively. What really caught my attention was Common talking in the background of the hook, I can see why Drake would think Common is talking about him. As he yells:
"Ho ass niggas, singin all around here man, you aint no muthafuckin Frank Sinatra"Here's the video
Drake's Response:
Rick Ross new mixtape Rich Forever features a track named Stay Schemin with Drake, 887, and French Montana. The track is a banger but in my opinion, his verse wasn't all that direct. I'll let you be the judge on this so called beef between two great artist in Hip Hop.
